Coach Gets A Lot Of Online Attention For This Nice Act During A Youth Basketball Game…

Teachers are among the most important members of society, yet they also receive some of the lowest pay.

Someone who devotes their entire life to mentoring, counseling, and teaching the next generation is truly a rare breed.

There are numerous examples of teachers going above and beyond what is required of them in order to support their students.

For example, Jonathan Oliver, a physical education teacher at Valdosta, Georgia’s WG Nunn Elementary School,

received praise lately for something he did to make a kindergarten basketball game more enjoyable. Students in the kindergarten class of the school were playing the game.

He would be happy to help a child if they came to him for help. Oliver, Kristen Paulk’s kindergarten basketball coach,

stepped in right away to help when he noticed that she needed help putting her hair back in a ponytail.

Oliver moved to Kristen’s level on the basketball, pulled her hair out of her eyes, and then looked

back at the game with a determined expression. But at the time he had no idea he was being videotaped.

It was Kandice Anderson, a primary school teacher, who captured the coach’s generous gesture on tape.

She then posted the video to YouTube, where it soon attracted a large following of admirers.

The movie, dubbed ‘When your job goes beyond teaching!’ because it quickly gained popularity, went on to become extremely well-known.

The 34-year-old father of three children appeared in the video after it was shown on Good Morning America.

Oliver said, ‘It shocked me that it got that much attention because we all do it,’ in an interview with Good Morning America.

He further asserted that he had no idea he was being videotaped.

‘We want them to feel like they enjoy being here and that they are at home here,’ the educator went on.

‘We do our best to love them unconditionally.’ That gave me the idea that it was a ponytail.

The committed coach revealed that Kristen had asked him to help do her hair in a ponytail prior to a basketball game.

He’s helped his daughter do her hair in the past, but this time he didn’t know what to do.

He made a joke about how he would have advised her to call her mother if things had turned out differently. ‘She ought to have requested a ponytail.

The girl’s mother, Miyah Cleckley, told the news outlet that she was very affected by the video and that she feels secure in the knowledge that her daughter is in capable hands with him.

She remarked, ‘I can always count on him to look out for Kristen’s best interests.’ Her father does a lot of the family’s hair,

so that made it cute. He does all of our daughters’ hairstyles while I’m at work because we have five kids and one son living with us.
