While visiting the grave of her late spouse, an elderly woman is robbed; days later, the thief’s son contacts her.

Tona Herndon, 78, learned the hard way that losing someone close to you is probably one of the

hardest things that can happen to you. Her husband of 60 years died after a long life together.

Bad people take advantage of people who are weak mentally and can’t fight in order to make quick money.

A story from October 2013 on CBS News said that Tona was visiting her husband’s grave in Bethany, Oklahoma, two weeks after he died.

She had just lost her husband of sixty years, so it must have been hard for her.

At that very moment, something terrible happened to her again: she was robbed in the churchyard and killed. The thief got her bag, which had more than $700 in it.

She said, ‘I didn’t even know anything was wrong until I was halfway in the car.’ A few days later, the police found him and arrested him. His picture was shown on TV.

Because of this, Christian Lunsford, a 15-year-old boy, knew that the thief was actually his father.

He told the news organization about his life in great detail. He said that his parents split up when he was only two years old, and that his dad wasn’t around much as he grew up.

His father gave him money for a band trip, which was the last time he talked to him before he was arrested.

The teen boy said that his dad had always been like that as a dad. He also said that his dad had been in and out of jail a lot before his case with Tona Herndon.

Christian then asked himself if he would become like his father. He told the source, “There are times when you just feel really low, like, ‘Is that going to be me?'””Am I really going to end up like that?”

The boy had other plans for himself and wanted to do the right thing. When he learned that his father had done something wrong,

he talked to Tona about making things right and planned to meet her in the church parking lot.

‘It had to be done…’ Someone needed to say sorry to her. Who would say sorry if I didn’t?” What Christian said.

The two were able to connect with each other in a moving video that CBS News shared. They could be seen holding hands.

Tona was moved by their meeting and thought it was ‘extraordinary’ that a 15-year-old boy would feel so bad about something his father did that he had to say sorry.

After a while, Christian took $250 out of his wallet and put it back in his pocket. He told her that his dad gave him the money, but he wasn’t sure if it was hers.

Saying, ‘I’d feel bad if I didn’t give it to you,’

The money was given to Tona. She told him she could do what she wanted with it since it was hers. She then gave it back to him and told Christian she wanted him to go on the trip.

The two people hugged each other at the end of the conversation, and the people around them were crying as they wiped their eyes.

At the end, Christian gave some wise advice. He told the outlet, ‘You’re not who your parents are…’ You can become anything you want, even if they raise you.
