Netflix has released a new documentary about Jennifer Lopez called Half Time. The film tells about the singer’s road to fame and the difficult life circumstances she had to endure.

Also, separately, the star revealed her relationship with her mother. The singer describes heras a complex person, but notes that their relationship has become much better with age.

‘Mom did what she had to do to survive and it made her strong but also tough. She beat me, Lopez admitted.

The singer’s mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, moved from Puerto Rico to the Bronx (USA), where she raised her three daughters with her husband, David.

When the daughters grew up, Jennifer’s parents divorced. ‘I always had the highest expectations from them.

This was only done to show them that they can do better. With Jennifer, to be honest, it was difficult for me. We argued a lot,’ said the singer’s mother.

The singer’s mother insisted that her children get an education. ‘My mother said: if you are going to live in this house,

you should get an education. One night we had a big fight, and I just left the house,’ recalls Jenifer.

‘I was not a perfect mother. But I can say that everything I did, I did for their benefit,’ Rodriguez justifies her strict upbringing.

Despite all the difficulties that Jennifer Lopez had to face, she really managed to succeed: she acts in films,

writes music, and now the actress is happy in a relationship.The couple spends a lot of time together.
