Renowned for her appearances in Charmed and Beverly Hills, 90210, Shannen Doherty has never hesitated to talk openly about her fight with illness.
The 52-year-old received a lot of compassion when she disclosed in June of this year that her stage four cancer had spread to her brain.
Generally speaking, Doherty has made every effort to chronicle her fight with cancer, sharing raw videos on Instagram and regularly publishing updates meant to educate and uplift.
As previously mentioned, Doherty had a treatment-induced remission two years after receiving her first breast cancer diagnosis in 2015.
In 2020, the actress tragically revealed to the public on Good Morning America that her illness had returned and had progressed to stage four.

‘I’m going to reveal that I’m stage four in
a few days or a week,’ she declared. ‘I’m here because my cancer returned,’ she stated at the time.
But this week, Doherty openly stated, ‘I don’t want to die,’ during a People magazine cover shoot, revealing that the cancer had regrettably progressed to her bones.
Doherty is determined to keep going despite her health issue, which she is overcoming with great grit.
‘I’m not done with living,’ she declared, despite the seriousness of her circumstances. I have not stopped loving.
I have more work to do. I’m not done trying to improve things, hopefully. I simply am not finished.
Doherty had a surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment following her initial breast cancer diagnosis in 2015.
She declared remission on Instagram in 2017, but the illness returned by 2019, which prompted her to disclose metastatic stage 4 cancer the following year.
After giving her adventure some thought, Doherty stated she felt there was more to life. Through her work,
she hopes to dispel the myth that those who are suffering from terminal disease are incapable of making a significant contribution

to society and to increase public awareness of and funding for cancer research. ‘I think it’s crazy that we still don’t have a cure,’ she says.
The Cancer That Affected Shannen Doherty’s Bones Has Spread. In a recent interview, Shannen Doherty discloses that her cancer has progressed to her bones with ‘People.’

Now, Doherty is focused on getting into clinical trials for new treatments as she remains committed to proving that she can continue working despite her cancer diagnosis.
Challenging stereotypes associated with terminal illness, she asserts, ‘People just assume that it means you can’t walk,
you can’t eat, you can’t work. They put you out to pasture at a very early age —‘You’re done, you’re retired,’ and we’re not.’
Her gratitude for life is admirable, expressing gratitude each morning for another day with her loved ones and
her German shepherd Bowie. Despite the challenges, she remains optimistic, stating: ‘My greatest memory is yet to come.’
Doherty’s faith and spirituality play a crucial role in her journey. ‘I know it sounds cheesy and crazy, but you’re just more aware of everything,
and you feel so blessed. We’re the people who want to work the most, because we’re just so grateful for every second, every hour, every day we get to be here,’ she said.
