A veteran who can’t afford his groceries hears a client say, ‘It’s our turn,’ as he turns around.Video

Everybody has the potential to go through difficult phases and moments throughout their lives. That being said,

it should go without saying that in order to help us get back on our feet, we need the love and support of those who are dear to us.

This is especially true for the brave people who serve their country selflessly and don’t look for recognition for their service.

Unfortunately, a large portion of veterans still have challenges after leaving the military. There are times when a soldier’s benefits are insufficient to support them,

and there are other times when they are at a loss for what to do once they arrive on Civvy Street. Until the soldier has served for a predetermined number of years, this is typically the case.

Stephanie was pleased to hear that her groceries had been taken care of by Surprise Squad reporter Dave Hall and his colleagues.

Stephanie was ecstatic to receive such a nice gesture from someone. Dave noticed Larry very immediately. Larry was standing silently in front of Stephanie.

The founder of the Bones for Blankets group many years ago was Larry, a friend of Stephanie’s husband.

What is the club trying to accomplish? Giving blankets to homeless veterans who have been abandoned on the streets after serving their nation is the aim of this project.

Larry founded the organization after three more soldiers who had died from hypothermia passed away.

He was unwavering in his resolve to make sure that other veterans would not experience the same suffering that he experienced.

He continued by saying that Stephanie’s spouse drove a truck and was frequently gone from home. Consequently,

he provided Stephane with companionship and helped her manage her finances despite the difficulties stemming from her sickness.

Larry stated that he thought ‘no veteran should be going through what she is going through’ during the Surprise Squad meeting.

Dave Hall was certain Larry would not quit the company without having the Surprise Squad members cover

the cost of his food as well. Even if this might have been the final straw, Dave Hall was still positive.

Even though Larry had only wanted to buy some candy and dish soap, Dave reassured him that he had taken care of us. We now have an obligation to help you.

As a result, Larry was allowed to wander around the store and select anything he wanted. Larry had

to wipe tears from his eyes as Dave and the others left after paying off Larry’s bill, which amounted to $278.
