The Prince and Princess of Wales showed their family this year’s Christmas card just a few days ago.
There was no festive background or elaborate settings in the black-and-white shot of William, Kate, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
The caption said, ‘Our family’s Christmas card for 2023.’ This year’s magnificent full-color Christmas card was left for King Charles and Queen Camilla.
However, William and Kate went for the plain black-and-white image with no backdrop embellishments.
A source at the palace claims that this is a direct statement about their desire to instill some normalcy in their kids.
Earlier this year, the palace source told People Magazine, ‘Those kids look pretty happy with life.’
‘Kate’s stabilizing normalcy plays a big part in it since that’s how she grew up. William adores it to pieces.
As someone who comes from a different upbringing, she understands the value of spending time with her family,
according to a source close to the royal family. ‘She wasn’t raised in an aristocratic environment where you only spend a little time with the kids every day.’

Photographer Josh Shinner was given the wonderful responsibility
of taking pictures of the Prince and Princess of Wales along with their kids this year for their Christmas card. As he detailed in a post on his Instagram page, he also observed the subject of normality.
Shinner posted on his Instagram page, ‘It was such a pleasure to photograph The Prince and Princess of Wales and their family for the Christmas portrait this year.’
‘It was undoubtedly one of the most laid-back and delightful sessions I’ve ever had, and the kids have given me a whole new repertoire of jokes that are appropriate for my age.’
He said he didn’t want to reveal the jokes the kids told. However, we can only assume that, like their parents, they have a terrific sense of humor.
The Christmas photo turned out well. However, a peculiar detail has recently been observed in the photo by several royal admirers.
Louis, five, appears to be missing his middle finger as his hand rests on his sister Princess Charlotte’s chair.
Louis has won over followers all around the world and is probably going to continue doing so.
According to PageSix, Louis’s index, ring, and pinky fingers are the only digits seen in the photo.
His lengthy finger might have been tucked away, which would explain this. However, this didn’t stop curious royal followers from asking questions.

Although the source informed People that William and Kate wish to give their kids a typical childhood, body language expert Judi James has a different interpretation.
She claims in an interview with the Sun that it reveals a secret message of ‘strength and confidence.’
‘This monochromatic image may not convey a traditional Christmas look, but it sends a strong message that the Prince and Princess of Wales,
along with their three kids, want to declare that they are a very cool and unbreakable family unit,’ Judi James stated to The Sun.
‘They appear to have a drawbridge and moat surrounding them emotionally, as evidenced by their relaxed and
self-assured body language, stark monochrome surroundings, and strong sense of close, loving ‘uniformed’ grouping.’
In conclusion, the body language expert said, ‘Without all the trappings and trimmings of their royal status,
we’re witnessing the strength and complete confidence of the pared-down family brand here. We know they look fantastic in formalwear and royal regalia,
but this is the casual and much more relatable version and if anything it proves they’ve got the charisma with or without the diamonds and medals.’
