When people discovered how the woman who won the $350 million Powerball chose to spend the winnings, they were all surprised.

If we were to win the Powerball prize, most of us would have a list of things we would do. But the way one recent Iowa winner decided to spend her wealth stunned everybody.

Lerynne West contributed to a large Powerball winnings. West didn’t start out with the thought of a home or expensive cars.

It also lacked any expensive jewelry or clothing. First instinctively, West wanted to launch a charity

organization for American veterans. She promptly donated $500,000 of her own funds for this reason.

During her appearance on Ellen, the single mother talked about how she won the lotto and what she would do with the $350 million.

Callum Foundation was formed by West. The nonprofit will assist those in need, look after animals, and assist American veterans.

West gave the Travis Mills Foundation its first donation of half a million dollars. Combat-wounded veterans can receive aid and services from this charity.

The fate of veterans of the armed forces concerned the West. She mentioned that her father served in Vietnam and that three of her brothers are veterans of the conflict.

West credits her love of people and her family’s heritage for motivating her to start her own charity to help those in need.

West had to overcome many obstacles in his lifetime. She said that in order to provide for her three children and herself, she had to work many jobs.

She describes how she was able to buy her first home at the age of 51. When she moved into her new home, she says she bought the lottery ticket that would change her life.

She said that the transaction was made at a gas station, where she had stopped with her sister to get a cup of coffee and a slice of pizza.

According to West, she regularly plays the lotto and thinks that winning will come eventually. That’s why she always selected options that were created by the computer.

She says a friend asked if she had checked her phone when she realized she didn’t have her tickets.

The tickets were found in her sister’s car. She phoned her sister when she learned that one of the winners was from Iowa, where she was born. The rest is history, as they say.
