The audience at the show and viewers at home are treated to pure talent as a performer on the well-known television program American Idol steps forward to perform for the judges.

Most of the contestants have advanced past the preliminary rounds to face off in front of the famous judges on stage.

You know they had to be good quality if they have made it this far, don’t you? There are times when they are not just adequate, but exceptional.

Something like this happened at an America Idol audition recently. The young performer left spectators everywhere in the world in stitches with his amazing performance on stage.

Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie were among the judges who were shocked by what they witnessed that day.

In front of them stood a teenage vocalist still in high school, Shayy, who was about to launch into an emotional rendition of the song ‘Rise Up.’

However, it wasn’t just her singing voice that had everyone in awe to the point where they were wiping their eyes.

Shayy gave the judges an explanation of why she was using a cane on stage in the moments before her performance.

Shayy had begun complaining to her mother about the trouble she was experiencing seeing the board at school about a year prior.

It wasn’t until she visited several different doctors that she realized she had a brain tumor.

By good fortune, the doctors knew exactly what had to be done to save her life. Unfortunately, the tumor was the cause of her blindness.

But Shayy didn’t let that stop her from singing! Singing had always been her favorite activity, and she had done it for the most of her life.

Shayy received a comment from Katy Perry as soon as the famous song ended, stating that her voice sounded like ‘an angel.’

However, out of all of them, Lionel Richie had the most amazing reaction. He got up to give Shayy a hug and told her that she had ‘wrecked him,’

even though he was crying. He gave her credit for her fortitude and for alerting him to the reality that most people are incredibly lucky.

Shayy was spoiled with numerous hugs and heaped with praise from every committee member prior to proceeding to the next round. We hope and pray that she can be as successful as possible!
