On the same day, several members of the same family in Texas celebrated their graduation from the same school.

The mother, father, and their daughter discussed what it meant to achieve their college degrees together on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

The daughter, Ashely, teasingly brought up the fact that her parents had asked her permission to begin attending

her school before they registered. Ashley gladly gave her approval and delighted in telling her parents about the encounter.

After a year of college, Ashely remarked, ‘And I had nothing but wonderful things to say about Texas Lutheran University.’

It was really thrilling to have them visit a four-year university, and I was thrilled to share that experience with them. I was only incredibly proud.

The mother, Robyn, started to get quite emotional as she talked about graduation day. As her mother speaks, Ashely dabs at a tear in her eye.

‘I was first trying to get ready so I wouldn’t fall while walking the stage,’ Robyn remarked. After that,

I was able to turn around, and I had the strangest time watching my kid and husband follow me around the stage. It was quite moving.

Kelly notes in the video that it was the first time in Texas Lutheran University’s history that such

an event has occurred.What a lovely and special experience for that family, one that probably made them all closer.

It’s also very likely that they will treasure this period of their lives for the rest of their lives.
