When it comes to pure love, how long does it last?
People can have their own explanations, but none of them will be real until we get there. While we are sometimes dismayed when we witness others fall out of love, we can draw encouragement from those who have persevered through the years.
Even those who have been together for a long time don’t always mean they are still romantic and emotional for one another. However, some couples may find a method to make each other’s hearts beat faster even after 72 years of marriage.
@dudfam, a TikTok user, posted a touching video of her grandparents, Faye and Kenneth Babin.
Her grandfather shuffled toward her grandmother, who was already in a wheelchair, in the minute-and-a-half video. Years had left their imprint on them, yet their love remained the same.
Her grandmother was a little concerned about the sudden commotion when her grandfather screamed, ‘Baby!’ She stood there watching the older man approach her, not expecting the surprise he had in prepared for her.
Her granddad knelt on one knee, old and wobbly.
‘Will you be my Valentine?’ the elder man inquired as he presented his wife with a chocolate bar and a card. He may be old, but when it comes to romantic gestures, he hasn’t lost his touch. Men should pay attention!
Then their grandmother simply remarked, ‘I have always been your Valentine,’ in a heartfelt reaction. Her man gets a big hug. She then laid the chocolate bar aside so she could read what he had written on the card.
‘Baby you are my friend and one and only Valentine,’ she read .’Because you are a part of my life, every day is filled with joy.’
Relationship certainly knows no age, as this couple has just demonstrated that you can make your love work no matter how long or difficult it has been if you stay loyal to one other.
TikTok users exclaimed over the couple’s display of affection. ‘I wish I could see them when they were young and in love since it appears it was huge if he can kneel down at that age,’ one person commented.
The couple had a difficult time adjusting to the attention, but they’re just being themselves — nice and loving after all these years.
Their love is still going strong at almost 100 years old. Visit @dudfam on TikTok for more tidbits of their lives and a healthy dose of healthy love.
