Sometimes the smallest act of kindness can entirely change how someone’s day goes, leaving them with a smile that lasts for days or even weeks.

Heather Leigh had a similar experience when she witnessed a total stranger go above and above to take care of an older citizen in the neighborhood where she was raised.

Unexpectedly, Heather Leigh was dining with several friends at one of her favorite local restaurants, the Mt. Clemens Grill.

Heather and her friends were enjoying a nice lunch and talking when they began to notice how crowded the relatively small restaurant had grown.

There were people waiting, but there were also large groups of people waiting outside the entrance in case they may get seated in addition to the folks who were waiting.

As they waited for a table to open up, Heather saw the eager diners shifting in their chairs with waning patience.

When they are waiting for a table, people frequently engage in this activity.

An older woman who was waiting alone for a table caught Heather’s eye as she cast a quick peek at the eager diners in the establishment.

Heather couldn’t help but notice that the other woman had also taken notice of her after seeing her.

A young man nearby got up from his seat and went over to the old woman after overhearing her state that she was looking for a table where she could be alone. He then offered to join her.
